Online investment research platform HALO has announced the launch of a new app that will enable SMSF investors with “on the go” access to its equities research framework.

Called HALO Mobile, the app will cover over 1,900 ASX-listed companies and over 6,000 listed companies in North America.

A free trial is available, but users will need to pay a monthly subscription at the end of the trial to keep using the app.

HALO creator Nicolas Bryon said the app is meant to complement its desktop platform.

“With the launch of [the app], we are extending where and how our customers can access the platform,” Mr Bryon said.

Mr Bryon said the launch is to both give experienced investors mobile access and aimed at getting younger investors off micro-investment apps “currently dominating mobile platforms”.

“Research shows that millennial investors want self-directed capabilities in investment trading portals,” he said.

“We remain focused on product development to deliver more innovations in the future.”
