With the new payments platform and open banking initiatives further evolving the area of data feeds, SMSF software firm Class has recruited a new feeds operations manager.

Class has appointed Tom Sargent as a feeds operations manager and will be responsible for driving innovation and growth in the delivery of data feeds to accountants, administrators and clients.

Mr Sargent said he has over 30 years of end-to-end experience including retail banking, funds management operations, wrap platform and operations management.

He spent over 20 years at Macquarie Bank, including seven years as head of third-party connectivity and integration.

Class chief executive Kevin Bungard said he was delighted to welcome Mr Sargent to the Class team, that having someone of his calibre in the organisation would be a huge boon for the business.

“Delivering data feeds in a way that is audited and reliable is critical to the efficiency of accounting firms, and underpins the industry move towards digital SMSF. Tom will lead innovation in this area,” said Mr Bungard.
