SMSF practitioners can now register for the SMSF Adviser Technical Strategy Day, a three-day technical roadshow in November.

The SMSF Adviser Technical Strategy day provides SMSF practitioners with take-home technical strategies to help build, protect and manage their clients’ wealth.

The event will run across three states:

Melbourne 8 November

Brisbane 15 November

Sydney 16 November

Accountants and financial advisers applying now can take advantage of the early bird rates, with the standard delegate rate of $349, excluding GST, currently down to $299 for early registrations.

This year’s SMSF Adviser Technical Strategy Day will include technical experts from the ATO, McPhersons, DBA Lawyers, Colonial First State and SuperConcepts.

Terry Braithwaite, publisher of SMSF Adviser, says the presentations by experts at the event will “provide in-depth and educational information, as well comprehensive updates on the latest legislative and regulatory changes in the SMSF sector”.

Mr Braithwaite said delegates at this year’s event will gain insight into the ATO’s SMSF compliance agenda for 2016-17 and receive updates on new and upcoming rulings and resources.

The ATO will also be answering delegate questions on the day.

“The latest development, roadblocks and SMSF advice integration issues relating to the proposed budget reforms will be covered extensively,” Mr Braithwaite said.

“The event will also feature interactive case studies on specific issues including the challenges faced by expat clients transferring money back to Australia.”
