Aaron and Miranda delve into the latest SMSF statistics to examine the different clusters of SMSF trustees and how professionals can better service these groups.

ATO statistics reveal there are two distinct age groups emerging in the SMSF sector. While younger trustees account for a significant proportion of SMSF establishments, trustees over the age of 70 make up a large portion of the overall SMSF trustee population.

In this episode, Aaron and Miranda examine the trends and characteristics of these two groups and what planning considerations or specialist services they might require.

They also look at some of the other prominent subsections of the SMSF population, including small-business owners and the trends occurring in this group.
