Midwinter announces integration with estate planning platform

Financial advice software firm Midwinter has announced a new integration with Inherit Australia, an estate planning platform connecting financial planners and lawyers.

The integration means that advisers using Midwinter financial advice software can now seamlessly pull their client data, including personal information, asset entity structure and existing estate planning into Inherit Australia.

It eliminates the need for double data handling while ensuring the integrity of client data stored in the Midwinter client profile.

Midwinter head of product Andrew Zietara said given the trusted relationships advisers have with their clients, it makes sense for them to lead conversations on estate planning.

“This integration builds on our partner ecosystem, providing advisers with increased functionality and efficiency,” said Mr Zietara.

Inherit Australia legal co-founder Chris Hill said this integration “helps put advisers in the box seat and cements them as the lead adviser of their clients and their families with the accumulation, protection and distribution of wealth on death”.

Registration to Inherit Australia provides opportunity for advisers to grow their service offering and create a new income stream, said Mr Hill.

The platform takes advisers and lawyers through all aspects of estate planning. It covers the entire process, from a client's personal circumstances and testamentary wishes to lawyer engagement and estate plan storage.
