Colonial First State has launched a new app to provide members will a full view of the FirstWrap super, pension, and investment accounts.

Wealth management group Colonial First State has launched the CFS FirstWrap mobile app which will help members using FirstWrap to stay up to date with their account balances, investments, and transactions via their Apple or Android phone.

CFS chief executive officer of superannuation, Kelly Power, said the launch of the app represents a another step in improving the digital experience for FirstWrap members.

“It allows members to conveniently view their FirstWrap accounts through their phone and access features not available through online investor access,” said Ms Power.

The app allows members to view their total portfolio balance and individual balances of any FirstWrap Plus Personal Super, Pension or Term Pension, as well as FirstWrap Plus Investments accounts they hold.

It also allows them to view their account balance over time as well as a summary of all contributions, credits, debits, and fees in the current financial year.

The app also provides details on where their money is invested, including units, current value, and allocation for investments.

“Members can also contact their adviser directly from the app, encouraging them to engage with their adviser more often,” said Ms Power.

“CFS strongly believes in the value of quality financial advice, and this particular app feature reinforces our commitment to supporting members’ relationships with their advisers.”

Ms Power said face and touch ID can provides members with a fast and secure way to log into the app without reentering their login details every time.

The app offers built-in security features such as two-factor authentication for verification of personal details.

CFS is investing $430 million across its business over the next four years. As part of that investment, in February 2022, CFS announced a partnership with FNZ to begin a major revamp of its wrap business, focusing on seamlessly integrating the platform with other systems that advisers use every day in their practices.

The renewed wrap platform is due to launch in late 2022.

“We are well on the journey and will continue to listen to feedback from our members and deliver more features in the future to meet their ongoing needs,” said Ms Power.
