SMSF services firm SuperConcepts has announced Grant Christensen, who was formerly chief information officer, as the new interim chief executive of SuperConcepts.

Mr Christensen was appointed to the role at the end of last week. He has 15 years of experience working in the SMSF industry across sales, marketing, products, customer service and compliance, including two years running the SuperConcepts YourSMSF administration business.

SuperConcepts chair Stuart Forsyth said Mr Christensen also has long relationships with the individual businesses that have been recently acquired by SuperConcepts.

“Grant is an exceptional internal candidate with a detailed knowledge of the business and the services we provide, having fulfilled several executive roles within the SuperConcepts Group since 2006,” Mr Forsyth said.

Mr Forsyth thanked outgoing chief executive Lara Bourguignon, who is currently seeking new opportunities in a consultant role.

“Lara has achieved great things in her time as chief executive, including rolling out significant improvements to the SuperMate platform, the internal workflow system, managing the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to a flexible workforce and elevating the SuperConcepts Net Promoter Score (NPS) by 41.5 per cent in just over 12 months,” Mr Forsyth said.

Ms Bourguignon welcomed the appointment of Mr Christensen to the role.

“I think it is really wonderful to have someone with Grant’s experience at the helm. It will provide continuity and certainty to our people and clients into the new year,” she said.
