Actuarial certificate provider Accurium has appointed a prominent technical expert as its head of education as it looks to expand its educational offering.

Mark Ellem has been appointed as head of education at Accurium and will focus on further expanding Accurium’s educational offering.

Welcoming Mr Ellem to the new role, Accurium general manager Doug McBirnie said Mr Ellem’s experience and expertise will greatly benefit clients.

“He will join our strong technical team alongside technical services manager Melanie Dunn, bringing a different perspective to SMSF issues,” Mr McBirnie said.

“Accurium has a number of exciting developments coming into fruition early next year in which Mark will play an important role.”

Mr Ellem is a fellow of both the CPA and IPA and has held a variety of roles within the SMSF space over his career, including policy director at Supercorp and executive manager of SMSF technical services at SuperConcepts.

“I am delighted to be joining Accurium’s well-regarded team and am very much looking forward to building on the great range of SMSF education services that is currently provided via the Accurium TechHub,” Mr Ellem said.
