The document provider’s director, Michael Spakman, said their Topdocs Protect platform would allow financial planners and accountants to access both training around estate planning as a service as well as basic estate planning documents for clients.

“Topdocs Protect provides upfront and ongoing training for advisers to enable them to facilitate the provision of estate planning services, while also providing a central online platform where advisers can submit client information to have wills, enduring powers of attorney and other succession documentation created online, or full service by a panel of lawyers,” Mr Spakman said.

He added that the online will creation service will be provided by Topdocs’ associated legal practice, Topdocs Legal, and offer adviser clients with general needs access to a competitively priced will with all the necessary provisions.

In addition, the firm’s partnership with legal concierge service The Legal Hub would offer access to a panel of specialist lawyers for those clients with more complex needs to have a comprehensive estate plan drawn up, according to Legal Hub director Brant Dillon.

“We are pleased to partner with Topdocs to provide advisers with an easily adoptable estate planning solution for their clients, which not only enables the adviser to generate a revenue stream, but most importantly ensures their clients [also] have proper estate plans in place,” Mr Dillon said.
