Andy Forbes, who has been acting as the interim chief technology officer (CTO) since February 2021, will assume the responsibilities of CTO on a permanent basis.

Jim Robinson has been promoted to chief information officer, a role that has been vacant since the current CEO, Grant Christensen, was promoted in December 2020.

“Collectively, Andy and Jim have been with the company for close to 30 years and have made an incredible contribution to our development over that time,” SuperConcepts CEO Grant Christensen said.

“They have, and will continue to, play an integral part in leading SuperConcepts on our transformation journey.”

Mr Forbes manages the CTO team who are currently working to develop the next generation of SuperMate.

He noted the firm is hitting its internal milestones and is on track to launch the new and improved product very early in 2022.

“I’m confident that this appointment provides certainty to staff and users alike that we’re on the right track and enables us to continue our ambitious plan to be the best SMSF, portfolio and SAF administration software in the market,” Mr Forbes said.

“Mr Robinson has been the executive manager – IT and cyber security since February 2019 and brings over 25 years of IT and information security experience. His skills and strengths compliment that of our existing leadership team.

“It is the backbone of our business and Jim has led us through an amazing period of stability capped by our attainment of ISO 27001 and SOC II during the past two years.

“This is a pivotal move for us in terms of solidity as we strengthen our leadership team further, and I am thrilled to be working closely with Andy and Jim.”

With these new appointments, SuperConcepts said that it continues to disrupt the SMSF market with technology-led innovations.

“We have a huge opportunity in front of us to continue our growth and deliver greater choices for our customers in their SMSF needs. Having the right team is paramount to achieving this,” Mr Christensen added.
