AMP Australia’s director, platforms, Edwina Maloney said Mr Christensen was chosen after an extremely competitive selection process.

“I appreciate that the SuperConcepts business has undergone a period of significant change over the last few years,” Ms Maloney said.

“Grant’s appointment will mean a seamless transition and no disruption to our customers and, with his extensive experience, Grant will provide stability and entrepreneurship to the SuperConcepts team.”

Mr Christensen has worked for SuperConcepts for 15 years, starting his career in the organisation with Supercorp (the founder of SuperMate), managing both the SMSF administration and technology departments at an executive level. He has extensive experience working in the SMSF industry across sales, marketing, products, customer service and compliance, including two years running the SuperConcepts YourSMSF administration business.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Christensen said he was excited to be taking on the role.

“Our company has a history and passion not matched by many in our industry, and I am excited to lead our staff into this next chapter of our growth,” he said.

“My focus is on our clients and challenging the complexity and costs of running an SMSF through continued innovation using our unique position as the leading SMSF provider.”

Ms Maloney added the appointment also marks an exciting new chapter for SuperConcepts.

“The board is looking forward to working with Grant to ensure SuperConcepts continues to grow as Australia’s largest SMSF provider,” Ms Maloney said.

“I have absolute confidence we will thrive under Grant’s leadership.”
