Greenfields SMSF Lawyers senior counsel Caroline Harley says the tools on the website include fact sheets and templates for SMSF professionals.
There is also a tool to assist advisers who suspect their client may be losing their mental capacity to provide instructions, as well as a template that guides a practitioner reviewing a trust deed in order to determine whether critical events are addressed in the manner the client expects or would want.
The firm has plans to continue expanding the range of templates and fact sheets offered on the website.
“We’ve identified a couple of areas that we feel will add value and it’s our intention to continue to put these [tools] up,” Ms Harley said.
She added that finance professionals have a responsibility to their clients, and by providing them with tools relating to different aspects of their SMSF practice, it is hoped that they can help SMSF professionals support their clients.
“Clearly, planners and accountants want to do all the right things for their clients but sometimes having the right tools available makes the job a little easier.”
