In an online update, the ATO stated that eSAT would be decommissioned on 1 March 2022. The ATO first announced it would be replacing the tool back in 2019 as part of plans to improve digital services for SMSF auditors.

“If you haven’t registered for Online services for business be sure to do it now so you can continue to lodge your auditor contravention reports (ACRs) and audit complete advices (ACAs) electronically,” the ATO cautioned.

“When eSAT decommissions, you won’t be able to use it to lodge new or amended auditor contravention reports (ACRs) or audit complete advices (ACAs).”

The ATO said Online services for business is a secure tool that can be used on multiple devices.

“You can set up yours and your staff’s access to Online services for business by following the steps on our website,” it said.

“If you’ve already registered, you can log in through our website.”
