Listed diversified financials business Sequoia has created a white-label legal document and ASIC compliance solution for online SMSF accounting and administration technology provider, Mclowd.

The new launch aims to build on Mclowd’s development of a low-cost solution for advisers and trustees to manage their funds in an SMSF landscape that is changing rapidly.

“We are pleased to partner with Docscentre and provide a trusted and reliable solution to our growing practitioner user base,” Ashley Porter, managing director of Mclowd, stated.

“Sequoia and Docscentre’s ability to provide this service will not only bolster our product offering, the additional revenues will help to fund the ongoing development of our core software. With zero capex required on our side, we are pleased to pioneer this industry-leading opportunity for both parties.”

The addition of the establishment and management of SMSF deeds and their corporate trustees also enables Mclowd to add further benefit to its network, according to Sequoia.

“Ashley’s team and the Docscentre team understood each other right from the word go,” Brent Jones, head of Sequoia’s professional services division, said.

“We add value to both businesses and we look forward to delivering our services to their network.

“We have managed the NTAA Corporate service since 2004 and recently created a white label for our 450-strong ARs network. The opportunity to roll out our tech to Mclowd’s network will prove what we are doing.”

Docscentre recently purchased the WA-based PantherCorp, which itself has been servicing its clients for close to 20 years. PantherCorp will be migrating its technology to the Docscentre platform to streamline many in-house functions.

Mclowd develops low-cost accounting software alongside a services marketplace with a different model price structure compared to the main SMSF administration platforms.
