The course is designed specifically for SMSF trustees who receive an education direction from the ATO under its penalty powers – however, SuperConcepts noted it is available to anyone wanting to seek further information on the roles and responsibilities of being an SMSF trustee.

“Running an SMSF can be a complex task, which requires an understanding of many rules and regulations to be compliant. We know this can present challenges for trustees who are time-poor or have only recently established an SMSF,” said Peter Burgess, general manager, technical and education services at SuperConcepts.

“We have invested in the online course to help simplify the key requirements and responsibilities for SMSF trustees. We firmly believe in the importance of education in providing trustees with the best opportunity to successfully manage and grow their fund,” Mr Burgess said.

Currently, the course is being delivered through the “direct to trustee” brand, AMP SMSF.
