Hosts Aaron Dunn and Miranda Brownlee speak to Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers partner Scott Hay-Bartlem and chair of the SMSF Association about his session which examined the difference between tax and super advice, legal advice, and personal advice.

Scott highlights the importance of professionals carefully scoping the advice they are providing and ensuring the clients understand that scope.

Colonial First State head of technical services Craig Day touches on some of the key points from his session, which explored the opportunities and issues stemming from the recent 1 July work test changes.

Australian Executor Trustees senior technical services manager Julie Steed provides an update on what SMSF professionals should be doing for clients with legacy pensions with the two-year amnesty looking unlikely at this stage.
