Former NSW Liberal premier Nick Greiner and former Labor parliamentary secretary Bernie Ripoll have become members of the committee, which comprises of six other members from the SMSFA’s board, senior executive management and membership.
“We are excited about getting two former politicians of the calibre and reputation of Nick and Bernie, and look forward to getting their input into our vigorous policy debates,” outgoing CEO Andrea Slattery said.
The appointments signal an intent for the SMSFA to up its policy pushes on issues of superannuation and retirement income.



I like these appointments. A different point of view that also has political savvy
Good thinking getting a couple of pollies on board. The SMSF group needs that to offset the natural political advantage held by the union funds and their supporters. Let’s hope “our” guys are effective when needed.
