Many SMSFs invest in precious metals and the number of people adopting this proactive approach to wealth management is growing fast.

However, there are several things that trustees must consider before investing in this area.

The upcoming free SMSF Adviser webcast on 2 October will assist trustees and their advisers in considering investments in gold and other precious metals by helping them understand the benefits of the strategy, as well as the regulatory and compliance issues involved.

Guest speakers Ruth London, national sales manager for Gold Bullion Australia, and Jodi Stanton, CEO and founder of Rush Gold, will unpack the recent regulatory changes including the proposed $3 million super tax, and how it may reshape investment strategies for SMSFs.

The proposed legislation is set to make liquidity an important aspect of SMSFs, and London and Stanton will discuss how gold can be used to ensure a fund can maintain enough liquidity to meet its potential needs.

They will also explain how bullion works as a unique diversification strategy that can protect SMSFs against market volatility, and the practical realities of investing in precious metals, from insurance to storage solutions.

The webcast will also look at the reasons for SMSFs to prioritise holding tangible assets such as bullion, and explore the pros and cons of holding coins or bars from an investment and wealth perspective.

Although gold is one of the oldest forms of currency, it has not escaped the digital revolution and this informative webcast will explain how technology is reshaping investment in precious metals.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn how to strategically integrate gold and silver into an SMSF portfolio. Register now to secure your spot!
