He started with the firm on 28 November this year, and has been appointed a company director and shareholder.

“The boom in SMSFs means accountants and advisers across the country need to constantly update their skills and expertise,” said Allan McPherson, director and co-founder of McPherson Super Consulting.

“Stuart was involved in drafting the ATO ruling on limited recourse borrowing arrangements for SMSFs – being able to draw on his knowledge in this and other areas will be a major plus for clients.”

The appointment of Mr Forsyth comes as McPherson Super Consulting looks set to expand to Victoria and New South Wales.

“I think this business model can make an impact outside of Queensland relatively quickly and look forward to assisting on the company’s growth into new markets. I also welcome the chance to renew my involvement with regional Queensland as my father was an accountant in Texas while I was growing up,” Mr Forsyth said.
