Run with the support of principal partner Mortgage Choice (part of REA Group), the awards recognise the best and brightest women leading the charge across the finance sector, including SMSF advice, accounting, auditing, banking and finance, financial advice, and mortgage broking.

The cocktail luncheon event will celebrate the pioneering women of the finance industry for their continued hard work and dedication in servicing their clients during a year of unique challenges, and for their outstanding contribution to the profession in propelling the industry forward.

Individual finalists will compete across 24 individual awards, while 27 companies will be in the running to win a trophy across five group award categories. The highest-scoring winner will take home the coveted Women in Finance Excellence Award.

A range of finalists have been named in the SMSF Adviser of the Year award category, including directors, senior financial planners, and a partner for superannuation services.

Other finalists include entrepreneurs, CEOs, employers, thought leaders, and small-to-medium enterprises (SME).

Commenting on the strong participation from women across the finance industry, SMSF Adviser’s sister publications ifa and InvestorDaily editor Maja Garaca Djurdjevic said: “This year, we have been absolutely inundated by submissions and we’re just so excited to see so many of you take time out of your busy schedules to nominate your friends, colleagues and peers for this coveted accolade.

“As usual, we would like to congratulate all the finalists of the sixth annual Women in Finance Awards and extend our congratulations to everyone who lodged a submission.

“We thank you for the support you’ve shown women in this space – support which is key for growing women’s presence in our financial services sector.

“We look forward to recognising the outstanding achievements of women in the sector, achievements which have helped so many better their businesses and their personal finances.”
