Offering valuable CPD hours, a wide array of speakers will address ethical issues through engaging sessions and an interactive workshop at the SMSF Association’s 2024 National Conference being held in February. Delegates will be equipped with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of an ever evolving and highly regulated environment, ensuring they uphold the
highest standards of integrity for themselves and empower their clients to do likewise.

SMSF Association CEO, Peter Burgess, says: “The National Conference has evolved over the past 21 years to not only be a conference encouraging professional development, but one that allows delegates to tap into the treasure trove of knowledge our members possess and willingly share.”

Speakers addressing ethical issues under the conference theme of ‘Level Up’ include Prosperity Financial Services, Executive Director, Nidal Danoun, Tangelo Advice Consulting, Principal
Consultants, Selin Ertac and Conrad Travers, and Cooleman Greig Lawyers, Consultant Lawyer, Peter Bobbin.

Danoun’s ethical workshop, aptly titled ‘Navigating the Moral compass: Ethics in SMSF Advice’, is expected to be one of the more popular workshops at the conference as it’s designed to arm professionals with practical strategies to apply in their own practices.

Burgess says: “In devising the content, emphasis has been placed on bringing the theme ‘Level Up’ to life and giving professionals a strong body of knowledge no matter what stage they are at in their
careers.

“Bobbin’s topic, ‘Rogue Trustees: Risks and Remedies”, also should be extremely insightful, as will
Ertac and Conrad discussing how to build a model professional services firm in their session titled, ‘Blueprint for success: Elevate your professional services firm’.

“The anticipation is high and we are really excited with the diverse range of Conference speakers – there is a great blend between the established sessions that attendees have come to trust and rely on combined with new speakers introducing a fresh perspective on important issues.”

The SMSF Association National Conference is being held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from 21-23 February 2024.
