The biggest priorities and issues for the advice profession
By Robyn Tongol
10 August 2022 — 1 minute read

FPA chief executive Sarah Abood discusses major policy issues for advisers and developments with the Quality of Advice Review.

Following a change in government, Sarah highlights what the most urgent priorities are for the financial advice profession that she’d like to see addressed by Labor.

Sarah chats about the education changes for advisers and changes the FPA would like to see made to the compensation scheme of last resort and fee consent forms.

She also discusses potential moves by the government to improve the ability for advisers to access information from the ATO Tax Portal and Centrelink.

With the Quality of Advice Review now well underway, Sarah also discusses some of the potential outcomes of the review and what she hopes to see happen for the advice profession.
