Investment property app launched for SMSFs

A new investment property app has been launched for investors, accountants and financial planners with tailored SMSF taxation features.

Fintech firm Investor Forecasts has developed a new app that provides comprehensive forecasting for investment properties. The app provides forecasts for property values, cash flow, loan and other key metrics for property investments.

Investor Forecasts founder Brenton Smalley said this technology could be applied across accounting, financial planning and mortgage broking applications.

While the calculators provided as part of the app have all the standard features that investors would expect, the app can also be tailored for a wide range of needs and circumstances, said Mr Smalley.

“For example, if a client is retiring, you can adjust the tax rate with ease,” he said.

The app also allows for adjustments with interest-only loans, introductory interest rates and the ability to complete loan-only calculations.

“Our charting and comparison features are client-focussed tools that help demonstrate the value of advice and depth of research undertaken, ultimately assisting both client relationships and engagement in the advice process,” said Mr Smalley.

Mr Smalley said that improving efficiency for advisers was front of mind during the development of the app, with the app offering features such as templating and pre-filling of fields.
