BGL managing director Ron Lesh said the group had been hard at work over the past few months to bring the new features to SMSF clients and make their lives easier.

“The latest Simple Fund 360 release contains heaps of new features requested by clients, as well as a number of other enhancements that will simplify clients’ lives and allow them to share remarkable moments with their clients,” Mr Lesh said.

“The big ‘wow’ of this release is the accounting work papers. This new tool will save our clients hundreds of hours in preparing working papers each year.”

Mr Lesh added that the new property dashboard in Simple Fund 360 would allow users to manage residential and commercial properties in one location.

In addition, the software provider had extended availability of its Engage by BGL mobile app to Android users as well as added a new rate of return functionality to the app. The group had also made further enhancements to its CAS 360 accounting software.

“For our Australian clients, we have added Xero Practice Manager (XPM) jobs integration, meaning clients can now create an XPM job in CAS 360,” Mr Lesh said.

“Our two-way data sync with Xero and now XPM jobs integration are two of the reasons BGL won the 2019 Xero Practice App Partner of the Year.”

BGL confirmed it would be spending a further $8 million in software development in 2020.
