SMSF software firm launches automatic SMS alerts

Alert, warning

One of the major SMSF software providers has released new SMS and email features to help users automate client communication and keep track of correspondence.

BGL Corporate Solutions has released a trustee query feature for Simple Fund 360, which allows SMSF accountants and administrators to deliver transaction queries to clients with a couple of mouse clicks.

“The client can then respond with transaction details or attach a source document to the transaction using their computer or mobile phone,” explained BGL managing director Ron Lesh.

BGL has also released interactive SMS for its CAS 360 software.

The new functionality provides CAS 360 clients with the ability to receive document and fee deadline SMS notifications directly from the software as well as respond to CAS 360 with another SMS message.

This adds to the recent trustee query functionality added to Simple Fund 360, BGL said.

BGL managing director Ron Lesh said CAS 360 users can now either SMS or email documents or reminders to their clients.

“This in itself is not unique, but what makes the new feature special is that clients can actually respond to an SMS and the response will be tracked and recorded in CAS 360,” said Mr Lesh.

The new features also allow CAS 360 users to track all email communications, he said, with the software informing users when an email is received and opened by a client.

“The SMS tool and trustee query make CAS 360 and Simple Fund 360 communications much easier. These click and send options help our clients ensure their clients meet deadlines, don’t miss fee payments and provide timely information simply,” said Mr Lesh.
