“It’s fantastic to join a highly respected industry leader at such an exciting time in the fintech space. I’m really looking forward to working with established and emerging service providers to deliver on the Class partner growth strategy,” said Mr Poynton.

Class chief executive Kevin Bungard said Mr Poynton’s track record of successfully delivering business solutions across mature markets and start-up situations would help the company to develop its partner strategy.

“We’re thrilled that someone of Glenn’s calibre is joining the Class team. Glenn will play a pivotal role as we build out our partner ecosystem, improve our API capabilities, boost partner revenues and deliver enhanced benefits to our customers,” said Mr Bungard.

Last month, Class announced a 19 per cent jump in profit for the first half of the financial year, with 25 per cent market share as at 31 December 2017.
