BGL acts following proposed lifetime cap

SMSF software provider BGL has announced it provides users with a "big data search" to show which of the SMSFs they administer are affected by the government’s proposed $500,000 non-concessional contributions caps.

This service is available to Simple Fund 360 clients, according to an announcement from BGL this week.

"Our Simple Fund 360 big data search gives BGL the ability to quickly provide clients with this sort of functionality," said BGL’s managing director, Ron Lesh.

"BGL clients will soon have software enhancements that will make it easy for them to deal with funds affected by the other budget changes."

Mr Lesh is bullish on the potential of big data capabilities for BGL's users.

"We really have just scratched the surface of the many benefits big data can bring to our clients," said Mr Lesh.
