With La Trobe Financial recently taking out the award for SMSF loan provider in the 2022 SMSF Awards, its chief lending officer Cory Bannister discusses the success of the company’s SMSF loan product and its development over the past decade.

Mr Bannister shares how building trust with referral customers and clients, creating an accessible and easy-to-use product, and providing flexible features have been some of the key pillars driving the popularity of its SMSF loans.

He also provides some important tips and common traps for SMSF investors thinking about refinancing their loan in the current environment.
